Jordan "Luca" Marie Sampsel

Jordan “Luca” Marie Sampsel, 19, passed away on July 11, 2024 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, IA. She was born October 28, 2004 in Des Moines, Iowa to Melissa Ann Stoneburner (Green) and Shawn James Sampsel Jr.

Jordan loved her life with her Meme and Papa. She was a strong warrior for her older sister and had many siblings and enjoyed spending time with them.

Jordan graduated from Lincoln High School the same day she got her wings.

Jordan was one of the best friends you could ever find and loved her friends like family. She was always there to help her friends when they needed her the most. She loved being with her family and especially her aunts. Jordan also loved her work family and church family.

Jordan was involved in so many things including Color Guard, choir and GSA. She was also a lover of animals and tried to take in as many as she could. She was a giver even in the end as a donor with Iowa Donor Network.

Jordan is survived by her mother, Melissa (Darin), her Father Shawn (Cora); Meme Kathy and Papa James Buchanan; her siblings, Victoria, Izach, Keirya, Rilynn, Grayson, Kingstyn, Destiny, Eternity and Tylor; her aunts Shawna,Kellie (Andy), Mary (Aaron),Elizabeth and many adopted aunts and uncles along her life. Also, cousins and many more friends and loved ones.

She preceded in death by her grandfather Cecil Green, grandmother Barb (Nana) Sampsel and her great grandparents and her aunt Carol.

Family would love for people to join them at her Celebration of Life, at Carlisle United Methodist Church Family Life Center, Saturday July 20, 2024 from 1-5pm.
