Arlene Ruth Edgington, 94, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2024 in Altoona. She was born on July 26, 1929 to James and Ruth (Giesenberg) Keenan.
Arlene was an artist – she loved quilting, sewing and painting. She had a passion for floral arranging, she owned and operated Edgington Flowers in Altoona for over 15 years.
Arlene is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Keith) Bailey; daughter-in-law, Diana Edgington; grandchildren, Brian (Paige) Bailey, Phillip Edgington and Rick (Karina) Blaver; great grandchildren, Sevren Bailey, Colten Bailey, Akaiu Blaver, Kassie Bailey and Dohnovan Bailey; great great granddaughter, Cecilia along with a host of extended family and beloved friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; son, Bill Edgington; grandson Joe Bailey and great grandson, Douglas Bailey.
A Graveside Service will take place on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at 2:00 p.m., at Altoona Cemetery in Altoona, Iowa

Nancy, I am so very sorry to see that your Mother has passed away. I remember your Mom having her store in Altoona. I went there many times with my Mom after leaving Dr Phealen office. Just a short trip down the side walk. My thought and prayers are with your famly.
