Vicki Marie Stookey
October 20, 1949 — February 26, 2025
Vicki Marie Stookey, age 75, passed away peacefully under hospice care on Wednesday, February 26, 2025.
Vicki was born October 20, 1949, Des Moines, Iowa to Joseph and Arlene (Anderson) Moses.
She was a proud graduate of St. Joseph’s Academy and had a long career in banking, primarily with Banker’s Trust. She was an avid casino player. Vicki was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her husband, Steve Stookey; son, Chad Stookey; daughter, Stephanie Stookey; grandchildren, Chase Stookey, Mary Jane Boyd, and Elena Stookey; siblings, Michael Moses (Carol), Joseph Moses, and Cynde Thomas; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.
Vicki was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Arlene Moses.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 7, 2025, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 8, 2025, also at Hamilton’s, and will be followed by burial at Palmyra Cemetery in Carlisle.

The Seals.family loved Vicki. We were all probably teenage when she and Steve got married but loved her from the git go. Always honest, truly and authentically Vicki, and made us laugh. Always wanted to see her again. Steve, Stephanie and Chad we’re so sorry for your loss. She will be missed.
