Sheryl L. Bellis

Sheryl Lee Bellis, 66, passed away Friday, June 26, 2026, at MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines. She was born November 21, 1959, to Earl and Phyllis (Clement) Sanders in Burbank, California.

Sheryl lived most of her adult life in Des Moines and was an avid fan and collector of Betty Boop. Her greatest joy was her son, Jesse. Her world revolved around him and her husband, Mike. When she was with either of them, she considered this time to be her happy spot.

Sheryl is survived by her loving son, Jesse; one brother; one sister; and her family at Mainstream Living.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Michael McDonald.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be directed to her son in Sheryl’s loving memory.
