Scott Howard Miller, 60, died on April 24, 2024. He was born in Davenport, Iowa to Irene Opal Smith and Larry Dean Miller, Sr. on September 27, 1963.

He graduated from James Madison Memorial High School in 1981 and shortly after, he went to work for Red Lobster as a cook and he continued to work for them until his retirement in 2014.

Scott was an avid baseball card collector, enjoyed attending antique shows and loved the Chicago Cubs. He loved to travel and Italy was his favorite spot. He was there when the Pope died, an important day in history. He enjoyed music concerts and saw Billy Joel, the Eagles and Rolling Stones to name a few.

He was the kindest person, a loyal friend, a very giving person and an awesome uncle!
Scott is survived by his siblings, Larry (Cindy) Miller, Jr., Deb (Chris) Keary, and Tracie (Mike) Miller; his partner, William L. Nolan; nephews, Christopher Miller, Adam Miller, Matt Keary, Jake Keary and Tyler Larson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, Harry and Vada Miller and Mildred Coates.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 15, 2024 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Crossroads Park, 5205 Ashworth Rd in West Des Moines, IA.
