Robert W. Lampe
September 29, 1996 — May 03, 2026
Robert William Lampe, 29, was born September 29, 1996, in Alliance, Ohio. The family moved to Iowa and Robert graduated from Southeast Polk High School. He was active and loved the outdoors. Robert had a passion for motorcycles, playing golf, and fishing. He and his fiancée, Sarah liked going to the gym, working out, and walking their dog, Zeus. His niece, Lilly, held a special place in Robert’s heart. He also loved food and grilling, and through that passion for food, he never wanted anyone else to go hungry. He would never hesitate to provide a meal to someone in need. Robert was employed by ServiceMaster by Rice as a project manager/estimator. He was an Ohio State Buckeye fan and enjoyed playing video games in his free time.
Robert passed away due to a motorcycle accident on Sunday, May 3, 2026. Everyone who met Robert loved him. He knew how to talk to people, was charismatic, and brightened every room he entered.
Left to honor his memory are his mother, Beverly Lampe; father, Robert “BJ” Lampe Jr.; brother, Andrew (Shasta) Davenport; sister, Amber (Eric) Hamel; twin sister, Erika Lampe (Jacob Henderson); niece, Lilly Hamel; nephew and niece, J.C. and Maycee Davenport; paternal grandfather, Robert Lampe Sr.; fiancée, Sarah High; their dog, Zeus; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and countless friends.
Robert was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Bonnie Lampe; and his maternal grandparents, Howard Hall and Janet Hall.

I thought losing you
would make the world darker
but now I notice
every beautiful thing

Praying for you, Bev and family. What a beautiful obituary. I was happy to learn more about my second cousin and his sweet spirit and loving heart. Such precious words. May God comfort you in this time of devastating loss. Remember, though, “we do not mourn as those who have no hope.”

Rob! It pains me to write this, knowing we were talking in person not too long ago, as we won't get the chance again in this life. You were an awesome friend and a better person. I didn't get to know you for a long time, but I enjoyed the time that we did. I pray for the best for you and your family and friends and look forward to seeing you in the next life.
