Rickrobert Willjohn Ashby

Rickrobert Ashby, age 54, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at his home in Des Moines.

Ricky was born May 14, 1971, in Boone, Iowa to John and Marilyn Ashby. He enjoyed fishing, rock hunting, and cooking. Ricky was a rock music fan and his favorite bands were Godsmack and Creed. Above all, he enjoyed time with his family.

He is survived by his mother, Marilyn Ashby; spouse, Michelle Ashby; children, Elijah Ashby, John Ashby, Bella Ashby, and step-son Levi Boer; grandchildren, Hayzel and Leviticus; siblings, Kittylyn Robinson, Mikealjohn Ashby, Kristy Ashby, and Charles Robert Ashby; as well as nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Ricky was preceded in death by his father, John Ashby; and son, Ricky Jr.

Cremation will occur and there will be a celebration of life at a later date.
