Robert Eugene Romine, 66, passed away on September 13, 2023 at his home.

Robert was born February 17, 1957, in Des Moines, Iowa to William and Carol (Rogers) Romine. He married Christine Sickels on June 20, 1975. He worked for 28 years at Lister Industries doing concrete work and 10 years at Dart driving a paratransit bus.

Robert enjoyed watching the Chicago Bears and riding motorcycles but above all, he enjoyed time spent with his family and friends.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 48 years, Christine Romine; and many other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Robert “Rob” Wesley Romine; brothers, John and Bill; and sisters, Pat and Leann;

Funeral services will be held at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street, Des Moines, Iowa on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at 12:00 p.m., with visitation prior, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. A burial will take place at Avon Cemetery in Des Moines, immediately following services.
