Pat Hogan
September 11, 1944 — May 04, 2026
Patricia Ann Hogan, 81, of Bondurant passed away peacefully on May 4, 2026.
She was born September 11, 1944 in Stuart, Iowa to Peter Paul and Mary Margaret (O’Brien) Hogan.
Pat grew up in the Des Moines area and graduated from Saydel High School. She dedicated her life to her three children and making sure they were well taken care of. Pat never let them leave the house with a hair out of place or a wrinkle in their clothes. She found great joy in her family and will be deeply missed by all that loved her.
She lived for time outdoors and was known by her family for her constant picking in the yard, always searching for new plants, or repainting the fence. There was always a project underway and rarely a moment of downtime. If Pat wasn’t outside, she loved staying busy antiquing, crafting, and putting together countless puzzles. She also enjoyed a good day at the flea market, finding new treasures, and making them her own. She never let the grass grow under her feet, and those who knew her best still share a laugh about the annual washing of the rocks.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Phyllis Davis; and the person she couldn’t live with or without, “Big Mike”.
She is survived by her children, Michael (Kristy) Tilley, Kevin (Brenda) Tilley, and Christy “Sissy” (Walt) Mason; eight grandchildren, Ryan (Molly) Tilley, Hogan (Hallie) Tilley, Maicie (Brandon) Pohlman, Michael (Kalli) Tilley, Madison (Robert) Alert, Avery (Sara) Tilley; Mackenzie (Michael) Smith and Peyton (Jacob) Hagedorn; eleven great grandchildren; and cherished nieces, Brenda Ester and Pamela Lee.
Rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at All Saints Church, 216 All Saint’s Drive in Stuart, Iowa. Family will greet friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. also at the church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 a.m. Interment will take place following services at Calvary Cemetery in Stuart, Iowa.
“In the end, what matters most is not what came between us, but the love that always remained beneath us.”
