Mary Lou Hennenhoefer, 80, passed away November 14, 2024.

She was born May 26, 1944 in Colfax, Iowa. Mary Lou grew up in Des Moines, Iowa and graduated from East High School in 1962. She then moved to Los Angeles, California and later Kingman, Arizona. Mary Lou enjoyed keeping busy and had many different jobs over the years. She also enjoyed camping, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family.

Mary Lou is survived by her husband, Paul Hennenhoefer, Jr.; son, Paul Hennenhoefer, III; brother, Gene (Nancy) Gallagher; sister, Bev Koop; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vearl and Agnes Gallagher; and 10 siblings, Billy Green, Chick Green, Duke Green, Dorothy Green, Margaret Green, Alice Green, Mark Gallagher, Vera Gallagher, Geraldine Gallagher, and Jerry Gallagher.

Family will greet friends from 11:00 to 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines. Funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m. also at the funeral home with internment to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery, One NE 60th Avenue in Des Moines.
