Leslie Jean Delmege

Leslie Jean Delmege, 73, passed away on June 8, 2026, at UnityPoint Iowa Methodist Medical Center.

Leslie was born February 14, 1953, to Charles and Dorothy (Bradish) Barnes in Des Moines. She graduated from Roosevelt High School and went on to receive her Bachelor’s Degree from Bellevue College. Leslie retired from Adhesive Compounders where she had been a CPA for several years. She enjoyed gardening and traveling, especially trips to Branson. Leslie also enjoyed being a part of her sewing club. Her family was the most important thing in her life and she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Leslie is survived by her sons, Michael (Sarah) Delmege and Jeremy (Whitney) Delmege; grandchildren, Adam, Tim (Kendra), Jason (Alyssa), Matthew, Gabe, Kaprice, Sophia, Francesca, Adalea and Ayden; great-grandchildren, Tymber, Ivy, Samuel, Wrenley and Sage; brothers, John (Gayle) Barnes, Richard (Patti) Barnes and Jeff (Kathy) Barnes; and a host of extended family and friends.

Leslie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years, Michael “Mike” Delmege and her brother, Michael Barnes.

The family will greet friends Thursday, June 18, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street.
