Larry DeMoss

Larry DeMoss, age 80, joined our Heavenly Father on Saturday, April 27, 2024.

He was born June 5, 1943 in Monroe, Iowa to Ruby and George DeMoss.

Larry was an avid Hawkeye fan (as long as they were winning) as well as a huge NASCAR fan. He taught himself to golf at the age of 50 and enjoyed playing with family members and friends. When he and Judi married he insisted that they go on a vacation at least once a year but made it clear that he would do the driving. Larry made friends wherever he went, never meeting a stranger, it was so very easy to have a conversation with him.

Larry is survived by his wife of 55 years, Judi; daughter, Tamara (Alejandro) Covarrubias; son, Jeff (Mindy) DeMoss; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandsons; sister, Judy (Elmer) Modlin; and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Larry's life will be held at Ankeny Christian Church, of which he was a member, on Monday May 6, 2024 at 11:00am with visitation one hour prior.
