Larry Biondi

Larry Anthony Biondi, age 82, passed away surrounded by his family on Thursday, March 12, 2026.

He was born the son of Marco and Carolina Biondi on March 26, 1943 in Des Moines, Iowa. Larry attended Assumptions Elementary and High School. He served in the Iowa National Guard. Larry married the love of his life Isolena on August 26, 1995.

Larry worked at Beneventi’s and Crescent’s. He was also the owner of Biondi Pro Landscaping for many years. He was a big Chicago Bears, St. Louis Cardinals, and Iowa Hawkeyes fan. Larry also enjoyed cooking. Above all else his number one priority was his family. He loved unconditionally and will be deeply missed by those who loved him.

He is lovingly survived by his wife, Isolena Biondi; children, Bill (Sheila) Biondi, Stephanie Biondi, Julie (Ted) Fenton, and David (Mary) Steele; many grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and siblings, Virginia, Mary Ann, and Mark.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Marco and Lena; and brother, Ray.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, March 19, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church, 650 NE 52nd Ave., Des Moines. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Larry will be laid to rest at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery at a later date.
