Linda Dianne Rattray, 73, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2025.

Linda was born December 7, 1951, in Des Moines, Iowa. She was a resident of Des Moines her entire life. She attended East High School and was a homemaker, caring for her family and other extended “family” that she adopted as her own. She was a mom and grandma to many.

She is survived by her children, Robert Rattray, Jr. (Carrie), Melinda Rattray, and Bill Rattray (Brandy); grandchildren, Kahle Rattray, Justyce Rattray, Alex Nielsen, Jacob Nielsen, Tiffany Rattray, Destiny Carter, Malichi Callahan, Isaiah Callahan, Josh Rattray, Jake Rattray, Jayson Rattray, and Jayda Rattray; two great-grandchildren with a third on the way; as well as numerous extended family and friends.

Linda was preceded in death by her former husband and father of her children, Robert Rattray, Sr.; son, Ricky Joe Rattray; mother and step-father, Betty and Terry Sedars; and her father, John Johnson.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2025, also at Hamilton’s.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Linda.
