Jean (Graham) Miles

Jean Annette (Graham) Miles, 83, passed away Friday, November 21, 2025, at Valley View Village in Des Moines.

Jean was born November 13, 1942, Winterset, Iowa to Allen and Rachel Morris. She worked in the secretarial field during her working years, lastly for Mid Co Supply, retiring in 2010.

She was a longtime member of Staves United Methodist Church. Jean was dedicated to her family and to her church. She liked the simple things in life like enjoying the afternoon sitting outside, waving at her neighbors.

She is survived by her son, Richard Graham, Jr.; grandchildren, Jessica and Ricky; great-grandchildren, Avah, Jaxson and Kol; and her dog, Nikki Sue.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Graham, Sr.; her parents, Allen and Rachel Morris; and her granddaughter, Olivia Graham.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 1, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Memorial service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Staves United Methodist Church, 2747 E Madison Avenue, Des Moines.
