Elizabeth "Beth" Nixon

Elizabeth “Beth” Jane Ortale Nixon, was born in Des Moines on October 31, 1947 to John and Edna Ortale.

After living in Australia for almost ten years, Beth returned to Des Moines to work as a secretary at various companies and law firms. Beth married James Nixon on September 30, 1978, and they eventually moved to St Louis Missouri. After James’ passing, Beth returned to Des Moines. Her joy of living and laughter lead her to pursue multiple interests, including cooking, antiquing, and gardening.

Beth is survived by her siblings, Rhonda, Tony (Sue), Gary (Kris), and Monica; six nieces and nephews; one grand-nephew; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins living in Australia and the United States.

Beth will be laid to rest at Oakview Cemetery in Albia, Iowa.
