My deepest sympathy goes to all of Eileen’s family. She was a wonderful and talented lady.
I have lots of sweet memories of the Rowat family at Calvary Baptist Church in my growing up years. We did visit with Eileen at Valley View a long time ago when we were in Des Moines to visit Denny.
We’ve lived in Indiana for a long time.

Dear, Blessed Eileen. How I loved that woman. Growing up with the Rowats and the other very special families at Calvary Baptist Church provided some of the happiest memories of my life. All the parents were such good friends, from high school, even before any of us kids came along. And then all of us kids became good friends. It really was a lifetime. I especially loved our breakfast picnics! One of the last times I saw her, she said, you know I’m the only one left”, and indeed she was. All of the parents in our little group were gone except for her. When Eileen sang “Sweet Little Jesus Boy”, it brought tears to my eyes and joy to my soul. At Sunday evening services, she would wear out that piano!! Such talent. She was so special to me and I cherish the times we spent together at Valley View reminiscing. Eileen Rowat was truly one of God’s best and I thank Him for her beautiful, faithful life. Lift her up on eagle’s wings and hold her in the palm of Your hand.
