Charles Carmichael

Charles “Chick” Edward Carmichael, 90, passed away peacefully surrounded by his daughters on December 14, 2025.

He was born October 18, 1935 to Alice “Maxine” Webb and Archibald “Archie” Loyal Carmichael. Chick attended Saydel High School and then joined the Air Force. He married Patricia Houseman on November 10, 1956. He had three daughters, Pamela Sue Carmichael, Cathy Lynn Carmichael and Kelly Ann Carmichael.

In his younger days he and his wife loved to go fishing and boating with friends and family. They were also involved in a pool league for Norwood Inn and a local bowling league. Chick was a car salesman for most of his life and always had a passion for cars and motorcycles. Chick never met a stranger and he had the gift to gab. He adored watching his grandsons play baseball, great granddaughters play softball, and watching great grandson race.

Chick is survived by his daughters, Pam Carmichael, Cathy Carmichael, and Kelly Carmichael; grandkids, Katie Heggen, Johnnie Wright Jr., Jared Wright, and Miranda Davis; great grandkids, Koda Wright, Lily Wright, Daniel Needels, Emma Jo Needels, and Charlie Needels; nephew, Jack Carmichael; and his beloved dog, Peanut.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife Patricia Houseman Carmichael; his parents, Archie Carmichael and Maxine Webb Bell; step dad, Allan “Moe” Bell; brothers, Donald Carmichael and Jack Leroy Carmichael; and nephew, Rickie Carmichael.

Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
