Brian Crees

Brian was born December 2, 1968, at Mercy Hospital to Chris and Danny Crees. He continued thru life in the sweet embrace of Des Moines, Iowa until his premature departure on Tuesday October 10, 2023. Brian was a charismatic prankster and was quick with a joke or a light of his smoke. He would not hesitate to extend his hand to anyone in need. He found a way to be optimistic even when faced with difficult situations. In fact in the face of mortal danger inflicted from a car accident he slapped his reaper silly until he was released from his six month coma, after which point he earned the nickname, Sidewinder. Brian was a true warrior by nature and a force to be reckoned with that loved Captain Crunch and enchiladas.

He will be remembered lovingly by his surviving relatives: mother Christina Heater, his daughter Jessica, three grandchildren, brothers Gabe Heater and Josh Wood, sister Eva, and eight nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by Beverly Heater and his beloved Opal Heater. He achieved success who has lived well, laughed often, and loved much. A Guns n’ Roses fan with a true heart.
