Georgia Sharp

Georgia Genevieve Sharp, 93, died Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 2007 at Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St.
Georgia was born September 5, 1913 to Orville and Blanche (Holsinger) Turpin in Des Moines. She graduated from East High School and worked in the finance department for the City of Des Moines for 25 years before her retirement in 1985.
Georgia is survived by her son, Steven J. Sharp of Des Moines. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orland O. Sharp, granddaughter, Debbie Marie Sharp and her parents.
