Lois Jean Darnall

Lois Jean Darnall, 72, of Des Moines passed away May 28, 2011, at Fleur Heights Care Center.

Lois was a loving and devoted mother. She ran an in-home daycare for 15 years and retired at age 62.

Lois is survived by her husband, Bob Darnall of Des Moines; daughter, Christy Johnson of Des Moines; brother, Elvin (Dora) Morris of Whittier, CA; grandchildren, Jessica (Jason) Clevenger of Ft. Bragg, SC, Angela (Michael) Mock of Ft. Steward, GA, Shawna (Zachary) Leonard of Ft. Campbell, and Charles (Jaslynn) Piper of Des Moines; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lillian Morris; father, Elvin Morris; and sister, Cat Rogers.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 2, 2011, at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
