Service Details
Patty Schade, 75, passed away on May 28, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center. Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 31, 2011, from 6 to 8 p.m. and the funeral on Wednesday, June 1 at 1:00 PM, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Burial will follow the service at Glendale Cemetery.
Patty Schade was born July 31, 1935, in Des Moines, IA, where she then resided all her life. She was loved by all who knew her. Patty was an avid reader from the time she was a child. Her family was her life.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Donald Schade; 2 daughters, Donna (Joe) Zawistowski and Diane (Duane) Edge; son Kenneth (Carla) Schade; 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Patty was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Lucille Coones.

It was my pleasure to be available to help Patty and Don in the last months of her life. I enjoyed our visits as I took her to and from dialysis in a JoyRide van. Even though she was in pain, she was a warm, friendly and gracious woman, always wanting to know how I was doing. She will be missed.
