Service Details

Jacqueline Mae Clark, 63, died April 3, 2011, at Bright Kavanagh House. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, with burial following at Laurel Hill Cemetery. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Jacqueline was born March 7, 1948, to Alberta Mae (Caulkins) Viers and Jack W. Viers in Pleasantville, IA. She attended Pleasantville schools. She married Steven M. Clark on June 19, 1965. They lost an infant daughter, Sherry Mae.

Jacquie worked at various jobs during her lifetime. She and Steve enjoyed traveling until her health failed. She had a passion for reading, especially historical novels. She enjoyed tennis and playing the piano. Jacquie loved her pet poodle, Missy.

Besides her husband, Jacquie leaves her siblings, Virginia Collins, Roger Viers, Barbara Mosher, Nancy Futrelle and Jack “Buddy” Viers; father, Jack W. Viers; aunts, Wilma VanRyswyk, Opal DeHeer, Velda Dunn, Wanda Williams; uncle, Gene Williams; in-laws, Maxine Reeser, Nancy (Gene) Gallagher, Herman and Ronnie Clark and a host of nieces, nephews, wonderful neighbors and friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sherry Mae; mother, Alberta Mae; grandmother, Netha Dess Caulkins, and grandparents, Gladys and Ernest Viers.
