Gerald O. Brenizer, “Ollie”, 63, passed away Wednesday at his home.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, January 17, 2011, at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street, with visitation starting at 12 p.m. Private burial will take place at Rose Hill Cemetery in Lamoni.
Gerald was born May 16, 1947, in Leon, Iowa, to Cleo and Opal Brenizer.
He worked for Wilson Packing and also owned and operated his own construction company. Gerald was an avid collector and an avid poker player.
Gerald is survived by his siblings, Ronald (Sandy) Brenizer, Betty Perryman, Karen (Ron) Webb, Marilyn (Vic) Fenimore, Arnold (Penny)
Brenizer, and Nancy (Doug) Stender; as well as many nephews and nieces.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Mercy Hospice in loving memory of Gerald.

REST IN PEACE OLLIE.
I will miss Ollie very much. I have many memories of times shared. We had dated on and off for 25 years. Many times in my life when noone else seemed to care I knew I could call on Ollie. and did. I love you. MAy you rest in peace my friend.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Uncle Ollie. I did hear many, many great stories from my good friend and Ollie's nephew Butch Brenizer. Butch's stories always stated that Ollie was a true Eastsider and one "hell of a man". I wish i had met Uncle Ollie and there is a chance I may have a time or two while growing up and living on the Eastside. RIP Uncle Ollie!!

I am so sorry to hear of Ollies passing. I believe he was one of the few out there that would give the shirt off his back for anyone in need. Very kind and caring, what a hard worker he was as well. I'm sure there is a place in heaven for him. Sincerely, Kathy

It saddens my heart to hear of the loss of such a wonderful man. Ollie was friend of mine for 30 years. He was funny always smiling and a great card player. I will truley miss him. My heart goes out to the family.
