Ruth Ann Chase

Ruth Ann Chase, 76, died January 11, 2011 at the Altoona Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Ruth Ann was born October 17, 1934 in Stuart, IA to William and Viola Griffith. She graduated from Panora High School. Ruth Ann retired in November of 1999 from the Micrographics Dept. at Principal Financial Group. She was a member of Altoona Regular Baptist Church.

Ruth Ann is survived by her son, Joseph (Loree) Chase, Sr.; brother, Larry Griffith; grandchildren, Joseph D. Chase, Jr., active duty in U.S. Army, Margery S. Chase, Jonathan R. Chase, Paul Leach, Kevin Leach and Da Wayne Leach, Jr.; and great-grandchildren, Morgan and Cheyanne Leach. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Dorothea Sue Chase-Leach-Pyle, brother, Joseph Griffith and great-granddaughter, Samantha Lee-Ann Leach.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at Altoona Regular Baptist Church, 803 3rd Ave. SW in Altoona followed by burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
