Georgia Brown

Georgia Naomi Brown, 87, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 24, 2007 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. Funeral services will be at 10am Wednesday, March 28th at Sheridan Park United Methodist Church with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Georgia was born December 30, 1919 in Woodburn, the daughter of Truman and Achsa (Wilson) Myers. She was a proud graduate of East Des Moines High School in 1938. Georgia was a founding member of Sheridan Park United Methodist Church for more than 70 years. She enjoyed quilting and other needle crafts, but most of all loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters.
Georgia is survived by her sons, Darrell (Margie) Brown and Dean (Mary) Brown, both of Des Moines; granddaughters, Kaylee Brown, Sarah (Jason) Koth, Andrea (Troy) Dolphin, and Erin (Patrick) Lowe, all of Des Moines, and Amy (Tim) Davison of Mason City; great-grandchildren, Keagan, Emma, August, Kade, McKenna, Levi, Tyler and Larissa; and sister, Barbara (Wayne) Evers of Shelton, Washington.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Joanna Hansen; husband, Dave A. Brown and son, David Arthur Brown, Jr.
The family will greet friends from 6-8pm Tuesday, March 27th at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sheridan Park United Methodist Church.
