Bernice Fuller

Bernice Helen Fuller, 89, formerly of Polk City Nursing and Rehabilitation, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston, Iowa.
Bernice was born January 24, 1918 in Lucas, Iowa to Golda and Oscar Polser. She married John C. Fuller. Bernice is survived by her three daughters, Ruth Dorn (William) of Polk City, Jo (Glynn) Hatley of Marion, Carol (Sam) Velasquez of California; six grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one sister, three brothers and one grandson.
Bernice worked in retail for many years, downtown Des Moines at the Wolfs departments store and Younkers. She also worked for Blue Cross/Blue Shield and the US Post Office.
She liked to join her friends at Prairie Meadows, bake for her family and make quilts and handiwork.
A private service for family will be held at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens with burial at the Chariton Cemetery.
