Marie Trickey

Marie Trickey, 92, passed away October 14, 2010 at the Ramsey Village.

Marie was born March 31, 1918 in Bucklin, MO, to Mary and Charles Jones.

She was a devote wife and spent many years married to Ernest Trickey before his death in 1997. Marie could do a lot with very little, sowing clothes for her children and canning for the winter months. She was a member of the Indianola Heights Christian Church where she was a deaconess and helped with the bookkeeping. Marie also worked for several years at JC Penney’s.

Marie is survived by her children, Jean Van Leth, Jane Larson and E. Allen Trickey; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; and sister, Odema Laswell. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ernest; three brothers; and two sisters.

A funeral service will be held 1 PM, Tuesday, October 19, 2010, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, with burial to follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will occur Monday evening from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be directed toward the Indianola Heights Church in memory of Marie.
