Marjorie Elinor Minor, 90, was born October 8, 1920 in Des Moines, the daughter of Richard and Mabel (Smith) Vasey. She passed away at her home Friday, October 8, 2010. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 14, 2010 at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
Marjorie is survived by her children, Jacqueline (Marion) Van Manen, Martha (Phillip) Hunt and Carl Minor; grandsons, Ed (Jana) Hunt and Scott (Danielle) Hunt; great-grandchildren, Bryce Benton, Brittany Hunt and Brandon Hunt and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Harold Minor; brothers, Claude and Robert Vasey; sister, Evelyn Grother and her parents.
The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in loving memory of Marjorie.

I am the Great Niece of Aunt Margie. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family as they deal with the loss. I was saddened to hear about her passing. She was always a constant in my life growing up and she will be missed. Unfortunately, I'm not going to be able to make it to her services as I live in Texas again. But I just wanted to let the family know that I am with them in spirit.
