Pamela Jean Guenther, 64, passed away September 30, 2010 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston.
Pamela was born August 30, 1946 in Council Bluffs, IA to Avery and Violet Ayers. She graduated from Villisca High School and has lived in Des Moines for 40 years. Pamela was currently employed as an Assistant Accounting Manager at Electronic Engineering where she has been employed for the past ten years. She was a member of Gold Wing Touring Assoc., Gold Wing Road Riders Assoc., Honda Riders Club of America and Mid America Cage Birds.
Pamela is survived by her husband Glenn; daughter, Paula (Joe) Carbine and her children, Alex, Mariah, Kila and Kennedy; daughter, Melissa (Tim) Walk and her children, Seth and Tyler; son, Chris Guenther and his children, Breanna and Dyani; sister, Ardith (Larry) Branan; and her brothers, Thomas (Mitzy) Solt, Tim (Donna) Solt and Steven Lee Solt. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League.

Glen, Paula, Missy and Chris,
I'm so sorry for your loss. I just learned of Pams death today and am so sorry that I had lost touch with her over the years.
I will always have wonderful memories of working with her and the fun that we had together outside of work as well. Also her kind and gentle ways with animals and how much she loved her family. I still remember her and Alex playing and running around your house when he was little.
Please accept my sincere sympathy and condolences for the loss of this wonderful lady.

Glenn, I wanted to let you know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. While it is hard, it is comforting to know that they are no longer suffering and are in a better place. She is now with Richard and my friend Cheryl and they are enjoying the scenery from above. Take Care!
