Dianna “Di” Pahlka, 54, passed away August 25, 2010 at Bright Kavanagh House. She was born July 1, 1956 in Des Moines.
Di is survived by her loving husband, Richard Jr.; sons, Richard Pahlka, III and Joseph (Stephaine) Pahlka; siblings, Jean Piper, Cookie (Jim Sr.) Byers, Jud (Liz) Piper, Linda (Ralph) Richards and Shelly (Manuel) Placido; other loving relatives and many special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Judson and Lorritta Piper; and infant brother, Kevin.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at First Church of the Open Bible, 2200 Beaver Avenue, followed by burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family to assist with funeral expenses.

During this time of great sorrow, may it comfort you to know that others are deeply touched by your loss. I too know the pain of losing someone dear. Even though our hearts are broken, rest assure that our Grand Creator cares about you personally (1Peter5:7) and can help you through this difficult time.
Revelation 21:4 speaks of a time soon when God will do away with death forever. There will be no more sorrow, heartache, or pain. May your happy memories and sure scriptural hope comfort your hearts during this painful time.
