Vera Holman

Vera L. Holman, 76, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday March 17, 2007 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 N.W. 60th Avenue. Visitation will be from 5-8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home. Private burial will follow at a later date at Highland Memory Gardens.
Vera was born on March 15, 1930 in Des Moines. She graduated from East High School in 1948, and retired as a computer operator for the State of Iowa. She was a member of East High Alumni, Peacemakers Group, Over Sixties, and the ABWA.
Vera is survived by daughters, Donna (Ronnie) Christiansen of Dexter, IA, Sandra (Terry) Stutes of Des Moines, Sheila (Richard) Powell of Casey, IA and a brother Everett (Joan) McFarland of Des Moines, 7
grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren, and grandma to many others. Vera was preceded in death by her parents, Dennis and Grace McFarland and sister, Catherine Moore.
