Andrew "Andy" McGhee

Andrew “Andy” McGhee, 37, passed away August 20, 2010.

Andy was born December 28, 1972 in Des Moines. He moved to Phoenix, AZ in the early 80’s and returned to Iowa in 2004. Andy loved to draw and was a good artist. He also liked to write. Andy was an avid NASCAR and Green Bay Packers fan. He was an animal lover, especially cats and dogs.

Andy is survived by his mother and step-father, Anna and Wayne Bode; father, Michael McGhee; son, Nathanial McGhee; grandmother, Ruth McGhee; step-sister, Rhiannon Baker; step-brother, Cory Bode; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Frank and Laura Wease, Donald C. McGhee and Frank Bode.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
