I just found out about Dennis' passing a few minutes ago and I am crying unconsolably. Dennis was a part of my family, my cousin on my mother's side. My mother was Alma (Sharp) Bates. This makes all of you my family as well and I wish I could say this to you in person.
Although I haven't been to visit Iowa as much as I would like lately, Dennis, the ultimate traveler, would vist my husband Bob and I on his trips to New York. I was actually just thinking about him last night, wondering if a trip this way was soon due and looking forward to seeing him. This is a horrible shock. Please accept our sincere condolences. We will miss him terribly.

To Denny's Family, I was one of his warehouse examiners. I enjoyed working with him and socializing with him after work until he retired. He taught me alot about the job and life in general. He enjoyed life and was proud of his family. My condolances to you all.

I have known your Father for many years, as he was part of our family. I hadn't talked to him all winter, tried to call but both numbers I had were no longer in service. Our entire family is shocked and share in your grief. He was a good friend, and a very devoted family man. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

I worked for Dennis for a few years at Grain Warehouse in the Iowa Department of Agriculture. It was such a pleasure to work for him, he was such agood and intelligent boss. I saw him a few weeks ago at Sam's Club and it waa so good to see him.
You will be missed Dennis.

I am so sorry to read of Dennis's death. I am a 2ce removed cousin as Norma and my mother were first cousins. My mother was Beaulah Olson, daughter of Flora Slaven who was a sister to your grandma Delilah. I always lived in Grinnell and worked on the family history, and believe the last time that I saw the Plummer boys was at their mother's funeral. Always sad to loose a family memeber even if I didn't see him often, we are still family. I will try to attend the service on Sat to show my respect, but just got out of the hospital so can't be sure that I will be able to, but my thoughts will be with all your family! Kay Jack

Dear Family, I was so sad to hear the news of the passing of Dennis. He was a classmate at Valley, West Des Moines. I've not lived in the area since graduation but I remember him as a warm, kind person. God Bless.
