Paul, you were an amazing and one of the most geniune persons I've ever seen. You will be sorely and deeply missed by all maggots in the world. Thanks for every drop of blood, sweat, pain and of life you poured on Slipknot's music. Nothing of this would had been possible without you. You gave me something real to believe, and for that I'm eternaly grateful.
May you rest in peace now and I send my deepest condolences, love and prayers to all your family, friends and to Slipknot.
And even though it's been a week now from that, it still hasn't sunk in myself yet, the idea that I'll never have the chance to meet you to say how much everything you did is important to me.
May your music lives forever in our hearts.
Brazil loves you.

I had the absolute honor of meeting Paul on several occassions through 2002-2009 and he will be very sorely missed by myself as a huge fan, and countless others as closer friends. His heart was unique.
I wish to offer my deepest and most sincere condolences and sympathy to the entire Gray family, and all of Paul's friends and of course, his eight brothers in Slipknot, without whom I don't think I would even be here today writing this.
The world is already a different place without Paul and it's a loss that will be felt the world over for a very long time. Thoughts and love go out to Brenna and October always and forever.
All my love,
Kat

This is something that I wrote that I feel reflects how many fans feel but can't really express. It was most certainly how I was feeling when I heard the news.
I lay me down to sleep
in arms so deep
bathed in the tears I weep
in my heart your memory I keep
answers my mind seeks
love my heart leaks
pain cracks my voice
as my soul makes the choice
without you I pine
for what was once yours and mine
and though fate has drawn a line
between what is yours and what is mine
I know I will once again be fine
for all around me comfort flows like wine
from those who also pine
what was yours and what was theirs
in groups and in pairs
we will climb the stairs
from the pit of despair
because we are aware
that no gift can compare
to the gift you gave us to bare
the knowledge of each other
and a path to find one another
a long road traveled
a journey ended to soon
when the mystery is unraveled
we'll meet you beneath the full moon
as the wind carries a softly haunting melody
Paul will forever be remembered in my heart and in those of other fans as the good, kind man he was to us all. If we could give even a fraction of what Paul gave us back to you and October we would in a heart beat.

I cannot begin to express the sadness we are still feeling for your loss and I am sure we will feel for a long long time.
Slipknot was the first concert I took my daughter last year. She still talks about it to this day. When she found out about Paul she broke down and cried, but was thankful for the wonderful memory she had. I hope we can all feel this way with our memories of Paul.
You are in our thoughts and prayers.

DEAR JAMES, I AM NOT SURE YOU REMEMBER ME FROM GRAND VIEW OR NOT. WE USED TO SUFFER THROUGH MATH AND I ALWAYS CALLED YOU JOHN. THEN I GRADUATED IN 2004, GOT MY RN AND RAN INTO YOU AT HOOVER. I WAS THERE WORKING WITH A STUDENT WHO NEEDED A NURSE AT SCHOOL. YOU WERE DOING STUDENT TEACHING THERE WITH A SLIPKNOT T-SHIRT ON AND SINCE WERE BOTH KIND OF OLDER -- I HAD TO ASK ABOUT THAT SHIRT AND FOUND OUT YOUR SON WAS IN THE BAND AND HOW PROUD OF HIM YOU WERE. I REMEMBERED YOU TOLD ME ABOUT HOW THEY STARTED PLAYING AT HOME AND HIS NAME WAS PAUL. I WANTED TO SEND MY CONDOLENCES TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. I WISH YOU ALL PEACE AND PRAY GOD WILL HELP YOU ALL THROUGH THIS DIFFICULT TIME. TAKE CARE. SINCERELY, DEB WEAVER RN, BSN.
