Lovie Ridner, 89, died Monday, May 17, 2010 at her home in Des Moines. She was born on March 3, 1921 to James and Molly Keener in Des Moines.
Lovie was a lifelong resident of Des Moines, IA. Her enjoyments consisted of family time, cooking, listening to books, Christian music, bible study and coffee with friends at Walden Point. Throughout Lovie’s life she touched many lives, including stray animals that came to her door hungry. Until recent, there wasn’t a day that went by that Lovie didn’t talk with her life long friend of 50 years, Francis Brown.
Today she is rejoicing with her husband Roe, daughter Sally, mother Molly and many friends.
Lovie is survived by her daughter, Bea Ridner Heller; three grandchildren, Kim (Jason) Kellis-Kono, Sam DeAngelo, and Shelly (Scott) Elrod-Bierman; six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Ridner; her daughter, Sally Elrod; and her parents.

With deepest sympathy to all your family. I know I can speak for myself & the rest of my family, our thoughts & prayers go out to you at this very difficult time. It is certainly not easy losing someone so close. Keep all your fond memories of Lovie in your heart and tho it won't be the same as having her with you the memories are comforting. She was a really super nice lady and will be missed by all. May God Bless you all and help you thru your time of Loss.

We miss you Ms. Ridner. You have been a part of our family forever. We remember all of our fun times with Bea & Sally growing up. You ave been a bvery special blessing to our family. We pray Good's comfort and strength for Bea and your family.
