Gerald Hufford

Gerald “Jerry” Hufford, 63, was born June 4, 1946 in Farmington, Iowa, the son of Loren and Mae Hufford. He passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at the Veterans Hospital in Des Moines. Cremation has occurred and private burial will take place at a later date.

Gerald was an Army Veteran, proudly serving his country in the Vietnam War. He received the Bronze Star for his courageous duty and was a member of the American Legion in Farmington.

Gerald is survived by his daughter, Billie Hufford; mother and step-father, Mae and Bill Kerr and sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Jerry Schultz. He was preceded in death by his son, David Hufford and his father, Loren Hufford.

The family would like you to join them at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 20, 2010 at Carl’s Place, 1620 Woodland Avenue in Des Moines to celebrate Gerald’s life. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Veterans of Foreign Wars in loving memory of Gerald. Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens is handling arrangements.
