Service Details
Darlene F. Reeves, 68, died of complications following heart surgery on March 25, 2010. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, April 3rd at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, with burial following at I.O.O.F. cemetery in Indianola. A visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Darlene worked as an auditor for the State of Iowa. She was a generous and loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is survived by her sons, Gerald Jr. and Christopher both of Des Moines; daughters, Gloria Lanon of Orange Park, FL, and Debra Wilson of Des Moines; 13 grandchildren and 14 brothers and sisters.

I am so sorry. Darlene was my constant friend ever since we met at age 16 at Gib's A&W. She gave me courage and helped me in so many ways. She was there to lend a helping hand no matter what was needed. I will miss our little fishing trips, even though we never caught anything! We had a lot of laughs through the years and I am thankful for her friendship. I will miss sharing our week-apart birthdays...her's on Christmas Eve and mine on New Year's Eve. She was always my "old friend, old buddy, old pal" (our special greeting for each other).
