Carolyn Wright

Carolyn Ann Wright, 57, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at her home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 20, 2010 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, with burial to follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery.

Carolyn was born September 14, 1952 in Oelwein, Iowa, the daughter of Floyd and Louise (White) Six. She worked at Link Associates for many years, treasuring the special bonds she created with the people she was blessed to care for. Carolyn was a fun-loving person, embracing life and living it to the fullest. She was very giving of herself, finding happiness in bringing a smile to the faces of those she loved. Above all else, Carolyn was a passionate wife, mother and grandmother, and loved spending special moments with her family.

Carolyn is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Billy Wright; daughters, Jennifer (Jamie) Gillum and Buffy Wright; seven grandchildren, Jessica, Gary (Kali), LaNaé, Kelsey, Gerald, Aubrey and Ne’aLa; siblings, Sandy Barrett, Rosemary (Jim) Yardley, Don Six, Floyd (Cheryl) Six and John Six and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Dave Six.

The family will greet friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 19, 2010 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Mercy Hospice in loving memory of Carolyn.
