Stacie Lynn Gruber

Stacie Lynn Gruber, 38, passed away at her home on February 14, 2010. She was born on November 19, 1971 to Janette and Richard Gruber.

Stacie enjoyed spending time with her daughter, watching the Vikings, charity trivia nights, and organizing social outings throughout her career. She was a supporter of the United Way Campaign, and an active member of the New Life Lutheran Church. Stacie completed her undergraduate degree from Westmar College in LeMars, IA. She then went on to receive her law degree from Syracuse University in upstate New York. She lived in Maryland for a few years before moving back to Des Moines where she has spent her last 7 years. Upon moving back to the Des Moines area, she served as the Human Resources Director for the Dickinson Law Firm.

She is survived by her daughter, Tessa Gruber; father, Richard Gruber (special friend, Bobbie Maez); sisters, Marcie (Scott) Steiner, Amy (Justin) Crick, Jenny (Beau) Livingston, Nikki (Kyle) Donnenwerth; nieces and nephews, Taylor, Maddie, and Luke Steiner, Leah Crick, Lexi, Jada, and Cambry Livingston, and Jacob Donnenwerth; and many other friends and loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Janette Gruber; grandparents, Clare and Darlene Gruber, Glenn and Mabel Ashmore.

Memorial Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 20, 2010 at the New Life Lutheran Church, Norwalk, IA. A memorial visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Memorial contributions may be directed toward the family in loving memory of Stacie.
