Harold Meyer

Harold R. Meyer, 61, passed away at his home February 6, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 11, 2010 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, followed by burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Harold was born December 10, 1948 in Des Moines. He served in the U.S. Army from 1969 to 1971 as an MP and worked as a security guard until his retirement in 2002. Harold enjoyed watching wrestling, playing poker and fishing.

Harold is survived by his wife, Janet; children, Vickie, Gary and Shannon Meyer; sister, Kathy; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Meyer and his mother, LaVonne Channon.
