Thomas L. O'Conner

Thomas L. O’Conner, 65. passed away at the Taylor House surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, January 30, 2010. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 pm Tuesday, February 2, 2010, at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon Wednesday, February 3, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Tom was born April 29, 1944 in Des Moines to Marge and Ronald O’Conner. He was a truck driver for J M T Trucking where he worked for 10 years. Tom was a member of Teamster Union Local 147. He loved spending time with his family. Tom enjoyed motorcycling, street rod, racing and playing his guitar.
He will be missed by all who knew him.

Tom is survived by his loving wife Vicki; his son John O’Conner, his daughter, Melissa Grange; his grandchildren, Cassidy, Shelbi, Johnny, Tanna, Taylor, Travis and Tomi; his great grandchildren, Jaden, Adrian, and Lionna; his mother, Marge O’Conner; his sister, Karen Brown, 2 nieces, 2 nephews, several cousins.

Tom was preceded in death by his father, Ronald O’Conner, his brothers, David O’Neal and Scott O’Conner.
