Violet Hartman

Violet Hartman, 92, of Urbandale went home to be with the Lord February 16, 2007. She was born July 19, 1914 to Henry and Margaretha Maltzen in Lakefield, MN.
Memorial services will be at 11:00am Thursday February 22, 2007 at First Church of The Open Bible located at Beaver and Hickman where she was an active member involved with Keenagers and Missions. Violet received Jesus as her Lord and Savior at age 11.
Violet had many hobbies including oil painting, sewing and playing cards. She was a warm and loving mother whose home and heart were always open.
She is survived by her loving children, Marlene (David) Chambers of Des Moines, Kay (Larry) Hurd of Urbandale, Warren Hartman of Urbandale and Fred (Sheri) Hartman, III. of Maumee, OH. She leaves 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death was the love of her life of 61 years, Fred A. Hartman II and also a granddaughter, Sunny Hartman.
The family expresses their heart felt thanks to the many caring people in mom’s life during her last days.
