Arlo M. Reynolds was born September 24, 1921 on a farm near Decatur City and passed away February 16th Sunnyview Care Center after a lengthy illness. He attended Lone Star Country School and Graduated from Leon High School. He was united in marriage to Marguerite Spencer in Bethany MO in 1942. To this union three children were born.
Arlo worked for Ford Motor Company for 31 years, retiring in 1974. He was a member of UAW local 450 also a member of Ankeny Baptist Church.
Arlo enjoyed bowling, fishing, woodworking and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Ron, his parents Ross & Alta Reynolds; sister, Cecila; brothers, Clyde, Fred, Milan and Neil.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 20th at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave, Des Moines. Family will greet friends at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m. on Monday evening.
Arlo is survived by his wife Marguerite; son, Karl of Sacramento, CA; daughter, Pam (Bob) Lohr of Vestavia Hills, AL; five grandchildren, Rob Lohr, Chrissi (John) Mealey, Charissa (Jeff) Spencer, Julie Hill and Kim Reynolds; five great grandchildren, Austin and Megan Lohr, Aaron Hill, Emma and Cate Mealey; Other relatives and friends. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend and will be missed by all.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Ankeny Baptist Church in loving memory of Arlo.
