Service Details

Beth De Leon died of a stroke on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at Bright Kavanagh House. A Mass of Christian burial will be 9:30 am, Wednesday, January 27th at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with burial following at Woodland Cemetery. A visitation will be held Tuesday from 5-8 pm with a rosary service at 7 pm at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street.

Beth was born November 5, 1926. She worked as a bookkeeper and office manager for Midwest Lumber, Gilcrest Lumber and City Wide Heating. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church where she volunteered for the bus program, home and school. She enjoyed cross word puzzles, card games, casinos, traveling (especially cruises) and dearly loved her family.

Beth is survived by her loving husband of 49 years Jack; daughters, Deena De Leon, Marcia Lame; sons, Jack Jr., Dan; her grandchildren, David De Leon, Lauren De Leon, Teresa Thomas, Brenda Hafer, Tom Wilkinson, Bobby Wilkinson; 7 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; sister-in-laws, Dolores Burris, Carol Putney, Sandra De Leon and brother-in-law, Jerry (Margaret) De Leon. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Judy; son-in-law, Tom Lame and her brother-in-laws, Dick and Joe.
