Service Details
Beth De Leon died of a stroke on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at Bright Kavanagh House. A Mass of Christian burial will be 9:30 am, Wednesday, January 27th at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with burial following at Woodland Cemetery. A visitation will be held Tuesday from 5-8 pm with a rosary service at 7 pm at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street.
Beth was born November 5, 1926. She worked as a bookkeeper and office manager for Midwest Lumber, Gilcrest Lumber and City Wide Heating. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church where she volunteered for the bus program, home and school. She enjoyed cross word puzzles, card games, casinos, traveling (especially cruises) and dearly loved her family.
Beth is survived by her loving husband of 49 years Jack; daughters, Deena De Leon, Marcia Lame; sons, Jack Jr., Dan; her grandchildren, David De Leon, Lauren De Leon, Teresa Thomas, Brenda Hafer, Tom Wilkinson, Bobby Wilkinson; 7 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; sister-in-laws, Dolores Burris, Carol Putney, Sandra De Leon and brother-in-law, Jerry (Margaret) De Leon. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Judy; son-in-law, Tom Lame and her brother-in-laws, Dick and Joe.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony’s Foundation.

Dear DeLeon family, I am sorry for your loss, Mrs.DeLeon was driving the school bus when I was a student at St Anthony's school and rode the bus somewhere between the late 60's and early 70's. I always knew when Mrs. Deleon was driving we would get to our destination safe. She made me fill secure like my mom was driving, and would take care of me if anything happened.I hadnt seen Mrs. DeLeon since the early 70's but will always remember her for the way she cared for all of us she delivered to and from school.

To the DeLeon family, Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers at this time. Beth led a VERY loving and fulfilling life, and is in a wonderful place now. She DEFINITLEY will be missed for her love and humor. I am so blessed to have have known such a beautiful lady.

Grandpa, I am so sorry for your loss, I know its hard to let someone you love go on to the BETTER place without us, but she is there in GREAT company, with love ones that has passed before her, they are preparing our place when its our time to rejoin them. I wish we could be there to give you comfort and pay our respects to grandma but with my father in law passing recently we are unable to afford it. But just know that our hearts are heavy in letting Grandma go, and she will be truely missed. We Love you all very much.
