Stanley Young

Stanley R. Young, 68, passed away at his home Sunday, December 13, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 17, 2009 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, followed by burial at Ashton Chapel Cemetery near Baxter, IA. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Stanley was born January 24, 1941 in Des Moines to Virgil and Esther (Grief) Young. He served in the U.S. Navy and was the owner of Stan’s Tree Service. Stanley loved spending time with his family.

Stanley is survived by his longtime friend, Andy Brinker; sisters, Virginia Mastin, Edith Lund, Linda Young and Donna Young; brothers, William Young and Donald Young; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and four sisters.
