Thomas E. Smith

Thomas passed away December 13, 2009 at Mercy Hospital Medical Center.

He was born September 23, 1966 in Iowa City to Judy and Bill Smith. Tom worked as a concrete layer. He loved spending time with his family. Tom enjoyed sports and loved football, basketball, fishing and camping. He was an excellent cook. Most of all Tom enjoyed going on yearly family trips to Illinois.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Diane Smith; sons, Stefen Vigil, Tyler Smith and Dylan Millard; daughter, Elisha Smith; mother, Judy Smith; brothers, John, Billy, Jeremy and Jason Smith; grandchildren, Lilly Reimers and Christopher Vigil; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Smith; brother "Little Dave" Smith; grandparents, Nobel and Jean Floyd and Wayne Smith; uncle, Mike Smith and his aunt, Melissa Smith.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm Thursday, December 17, 2009, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
