Ralph Allen

Ralph Conrad Allen, 75, passed away peacefully at his home Saturday, February 10, 2007 surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will be at 10am Thursday, February 15th at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Ralph was born March 21, 1931 in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Curtis and Dora (Kress) Allen. He retired as a Supervisor from Armstrong-Pirelli Tire and Rubber after almost 38 years of faithful service. Ralph was a member of the Za-Ga-Zig Shrine and was a mason. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, but above all else he enjoyed spending time with his family. He was the most loving husband, father and grandfather anyone could ask for.
Ralph is survived by his loving wife of almost 57 years, Carolyn; children, Sue (Larry) Allen – Hanson of Leon, Donald (Nancy) Allen of Des Moines and Mark (Sharon) Allen of Des Moines; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Violet Lovett of California, Blanche Formaro of Des Moines, Marjorie Kitterman of Texas, Margaret Velk of Texas and Kay Pieper of Des Moines. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Glen Cook and Ray Allen, and sister, Louise Pecina.
Visitation will be from 4-8pm with the family present from 6-8pm Wednesday, February 14th at the funeral home.
