Dear Chris, Eric, and Family:
On behalf of the North High class of 1959, we wish to extend our most sincere condolences to you and your family at the passing of your mother, and our classmate, Marjorie Evenson Ramsey.
Marjorie was well liked and respected by all of her classmates, and was so kind and considerate of others. She was a wonderful listener, and whenever you visited with her, she made you feel like you were her best friend. She was not a person that bragged about herself and her accomplishments or complained, she was always very even tempered. Marge was a regular at our 59 breakfast meetings at the Drake diner and was always so enjoyable to be around. Marjorie had a very full and complete life and was very successful at EFCO Corp., and then for the State of Iowa racing and game commission. She was a very impressive, bright, and reserved person who loved and cared deeply for her family.
Our thoughts and prayers will be with you in the days and months that lie ahead.

I remember first joining the Fairmont Park Neighborhood Association and the board had a person in an at-large position. It is now clear what a privilege it was to have such a devoted woman as an advocate for East Des Moines.
