Bob Evans, 62, was born May 9, 1961, and passed away peacefully on Monday, July 17, 2023, at his home in Webster City surrounded by his family.

Bob married his loving wife, Meagan on 11/11/11 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Bob was a patient and kind man who embraced his role as husband and father. He loved doing movie nights with Meagan and the kids. Before Bob devoted himself to being a stay-at-home dad, he did hard labor jobs such as basement waterproofing.

Bob enjoyed gardening and traveling. He made it a goal to visit as many different states as he could. He also loved trying new restaurants, his favorite being Ohana Steakhouse. One of his favorite pastimes was watching sports.

He is survived by his wife, Meagan Evans; children, Gabriel Evans, Chloe Evans, Teagan Evans, Malikye Evans, Brianna Larson, Aaliyah Evans, Nissa Wilson, Erin Dixon, and Bobby Dixon; many grandchildren; siblings, Robert Evans, Francis Ekanen, Cassandra Graham, and MaryAnn Evans; brother-in-law, Jeremy Sellen; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny Frank and Lily Mae Evans; in-laws, Dennis and Karen Sellen; siblings, Mack Evans, John Evans and Barbara Perry; and other nieces, nephews, and cousins.

There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines at 1:00 p.m.
